Restor and Ecosystem Restoration Standard (ERS) are delighted to announce an exciting collaboration to enable ecosystem restoration projects to access funding on the carbon markets.
ERS is a certification for nature-based restoration projects designed to empower restoration efforts that combat climate change, uplift biodiversity, and improve livelihoods. By integrating next-generation dMRV (Digital Monitoring, Reporting, and Verification) into its Standard, ERS is able to continuously track project progress, providing greater transparency and integrity to the certification process.
With the ERS certification, restoration projects on Restor will be able to access financing through carbon markets, opening up new opportunities. The certification journey can be completed in six months, allowing nature stewards to access financing up to four times faster and focus on what matters most: delivering impact on the ground.
All the applications will be made on Restor’s platform. Home to the largest collection of community-led projects working to protect and restore nature, Restor is connecting local communities to data, funding and resources, supporting a community of knowledge exchange and learning around the world. Currently, Restor's platform features over 78 funding opportunities, providing projects with unparalleled visibility and access to potential collaborations.
Who is eligible to apply?
Restoration projects from around the world are highly encouraged to apply.

Important note: Nature-Based Solutions are powerful tools to capture carbon from the atmosphere, but they are not a substitute for cutting greenhouse gas emissions. From a climate change perspective, we must rapidly cut fossil fuel emissions, decarbonize economies whilst also conserving and restoring our ecosystems in a socially and ecologically responsible way. #togetherwithnature
